I thought you might all want to officially meet the very cool guy who took DH and I to Maui in February. This is Jeff.
Okay here is a better picture. THANKS AGAIN J.

One of the best parts of the trip was getting to hang out with you!

Pretty cool nice looking guy don’t you think? He is also just an all around nice guy. He always has been a nice guy so don’t let anyone ever tell you nice guys finish last. Sometimes they come in first and they do it with a clear conscience. He would give anyone who needed it the shirt off his back.
Can anything top the trip to Hawaii, the fun, the private Bryan Adams concert. No, probably not for me but in May J gets to go to Orlando and there will be a private concert with Eric Clapton. In addition, he just got back from Skiing the Alps. He is living a great life right now and I am very proud of him. Yes I know it sounds like lately he just has fun all the time but trust me he has worked very hard and continues to work very hard. He has earned these little perks, but wow what great perks! What memories, he will have. I won’t say anymore but trust me my little brother has come along way in life, has overcome a a lot of obstacles and no one has handed him a free ride, so if he can do it anyone can. One really can achieve whatever one can perceive. Thank you again J for sharing some of your great perks with me.

The time change sucks. I really hate losing an hour. Where did it go? I want it back, NOW. When I got up at 4:00 am this morning, yeah, yeah, I know, the clock said 5:00 am but my body still says it is 4:00 am and my body is the one that suffers. I am seriously thinking of moving to Arizona or Hawaii so I don’t have to deal with this. Anyway I dragged myself out of bed and to work not thinking of anything else until I changed my calendar over to Monday, March 10, 2008 and surprise; today is my anniversary. DH and I were married on March 10, 1984. That was an unbelievable 24 years ago. Of course I called him to say Happy Anniversary right away. He had not yet turned his calendar to realized what day it was. That made two of us who almost forgot! I guess I will leave a little early and we can maybe go eat dinner somewhere.
How could we almost forget about our anniversary? Well we worked really hard this weekend trying to organize and clean. We did accomplish quite a bit; our closet and dresser drawers are all cleaned and organized. It feels good! We put our focus on working around the house and did not leave the house at all yesterday. We didn’t watch the news, open the computer or even look at a calendar. We were pretty tired when we went to sleep last night and because of the stupid time change the day went by much too fast and it just got late. Am I upset?

Heavens NO, Just kidding. After all we did just go on a fabulous trip to Hawaii. Saw this shirt in Hawaii and was going to send it to my brother’s soon to be ex-wife but then didn’t want to waste any money on her.

DH treats me special every single day. He doesn’t need a special occasion to make me feel special. Every morning he gets up early to shower so he can be out of the shower before I need to get ready, allowing me to sleep a little later. Then he makes me my latte drink and takes the Princess for her walk (she is spoiled also, she won’t go in our yard, she will only go if she gets a walk to the park every morning, believe me this battle is not worth it so we just do it.) DH then drives me to the bus if I want him to and picks me up every evening. If I don’t want to drive anywhere, he will drive me and pick me up like when I go to Knit Knack to knit with friends on Tuesday evening. He will always open my door, fill my car up with gas and clean my car so it is always nice when I do want to drive. He cleans the house so I don’t have to, he helps with most of the laundry and he goes to the grocery store, since I hate to. I do not have the words to describe how special DH is to me EVERYDAY. We also laugh and have a great time together so if there is such a thing as a soul mate, he is mine. I cannot imagine my life without him. There is so much more I could tell about but I don’t want to bore you. I love my husband and I do not know what I ever did to deserve such wonderful treatment by such a wonderful man. All I do know is that I am the luckiest woman ever.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KEVIN, you are the love of my life.

That is the only way to describe today. Brrrrrr… I have no hat. Yes I know, blasphemy, I am a knitter, double blasphemy. Knitters should have lots of hats, right??? After all, knitting is what I do. As I left the house this morning hat-less and hanging my cold head in shame, I immediately starting making me one on the bus this morning. Maybe I can redeem myself by the weekend by finishing a fabulous knitted hat just for me. Details later, my camera batteries went out just after taking and loading pictures below!

It is so cold my poor little Princess refused to go outside for more than a minute. She took a couple of steps on the sidewalk and then just froze, literally. She absolutely refused to take another step. I had to carry her to the grass for some relief and then it was quickly back in the house. She does have a pretty pink down winter coat but it is her feet that get cold and she refuses to wear the little doggie shoes from the store. I am thinking I can use some of my leftover sock yarn and knit her some little booties to help her poor feet stay warm. Is there such a pattern anywhere?
It is bitter cold here but in my neighborhood in Broomfield and here in downtown Denver we have thankfully not received any snow from this cold front. Unlike other areas of town, west and south of here that did. What I did see out my office window this very cold morning was an absolutely breathtaking view.

I know the pictures I take do not do this view justice but if you look real close you can see that there was a beautiful partial rainbow way up high, peeking out of the morning clouds. No we did not have any rain either so I don’t know why the rainbow but it was gorgeous; a great start to the day. You can see the rainbow a little bit better in the close up below. Trust me, beautiful.

I have enjoyed my beautiful roses all week. It will be time to say goodbye later today but I think I will keep the vase and get me some flowers for my desk every week. I have enjoyed them very much. Thank you Mr. Kruse from Missouri!

Oh yes and just so you know I am not that concerned about the cold today because I am focusing on my trip to HAWAII. Yes, February 10th my brother is taking DH and I to Hawaii, first class all expenses paid. I can deal with this cold now because I know I will get the chance to warm up in ALOHA city. Woo Hoo! I have no real details at the moment as DB is making all the plans. All I know right now is I am going and it will be a memorable trip of a lifetime.
